What details should be paid attention to when using zirconia balls?

Zirconia balls are produced by mixing, pulverizing, grinding (slurry, clay), molding, drying, and sintering from rare earth yttrium oxide plus zirconia powder as raw materials. They are mainly used as grinding media and used as ball milling equipment. In the production and processing, as long as grinding products not only choose a wide range of varieties, but also comprehensively reduce costs in terms of power consumption, labor, and equipment. It has been widely used in the thick and hard materials and deep processing of different types of ceramics, enamel, glass, chemical and other factories, especially in the field of high-purity and fine processing.

This product has high strength and high toughness at room temperature, good wear resistance, high temperature and corrosion resistance, high rigidity, non-magnetic conductivity, and electrical insulation. Because of its many advantages, it is widely used in various fields. Usually, there are these materials below, Y-TZP grinding balls, dispersion and grinding media, nozzles, ball valve seats, zirconia molds, micro fan shafts, fiber optic pins, fiber optic sleeves, drawing dies and cutting tools, wear-resistant tools, Watch cases and straps, light golf clubs and other room-temperature wear-resistant parts. Therefore, zirconia ceramic accessories such as zirconia balls are being widely used in thermal barrier coatings, catalyst carriers, refractory materials, textiles and other fields.

Precautions for use:

1. According to the capacity of the sand mill, the viscosity of the slurry and the gap between the inlet and outlet, select suitable products. In application, clean the interior of the sand mill first, measure whether the viscosity of the slurry meets the regulations, and check whether the gap between the entrance and exit of the sand mill and the speed ratio is appropriate.

2. For the first application, pre-grind for 30 minutes in the epoxy resin and organic solvent slurry that needs viscosity. If a lower concentration slurry is used for pre-grinding, be sure to reduce the speed ratio and keep the actual operating time within 15 minutes.

3. Because of long-term grinding, a small amount of product will be crushed under high-speed collision. Therefore, after a while has elapsed, part of it needs to be filled. When filling, the stainless steel screen is used to screen out the crushed, and then add the same weight ratio as the crushed.

4. When grinding paint, use epoxy resin to clean it. If you must use organic solvents, you need to reduce the speed ratio, and the actual operating time should be controlled within 10 minutes. The web editor proposes to choose "start-off" intermittent cleaning.

5. Under the condition that the particle size of the finished product will not be changed, if the grinding time of the zirconia ball is to be increased, or the particle size cannot exceed the stipulation within the required time, the appropriate amount must be filled.
