Adding 18%-20% Y-PSZ to aluminum oxide with an average of 1-1.5 microns, firing at 1650℃ for 1h, the relative sintered density is 98.8%, and the wear rate is only 1/95 of the 95 ceramic balls 5-1/8. A powder with a suitable conversion rate of aluminum oxide is extremely important, and the conversion rate has a great influence on the quality of alumina ceramic balls.

If the conversion rate of aluminum oxide is high, the calcination temperature is relatively high, the hardness of the material increases the grinding difficulty of the powder, and the sintering activity is small. If the sintering temperature is increased, the grain growth will not only increase the cost, It is not conducive to the formation of a uniform microstructure, but the wear resistance decreases. If the conversion rate of aluminum oxide is low, the calcination temperature is relatively low, the hardness of the material is weakened, the ceramic grinding ball is relatively easy to grind, and the sintering activity is large, but the shrinkage of the crystal conversion product is greater, causing the cracking of the ceramic ball.
